SALES
POLICIES
I am not a
business. This is simply thinning of my personal collection. My selling
is brought about by health issues, which have knocked me out of the
work force far in advance of retirement years.
Parting with these items helps pay some bills, with hopefully a
few dollars left afterward for hobbies. Here is some railroadiana which
was accumulated through a lifetime. Including train
orders available at any time- No bidding against other collectors; no
waiting to
see if one day there'll be flimsies listed of interest for you.
**********
NOTICE!!!
Some folks seem to have an odd idea- That as I am not a
business, I am expected to just sit on items, until they decide to
send payment. Such a concept is unreasonable. I WILL NO LONGER DO SO.
After 14 total days, any item(s) set aside are released and available
for sale- First come, first served. If still there when you get around
to paying, fine. If not, sorry. I am generally very easy to work with,
but this has now simply become tiresome.
**********
All items are sold or traded as-is. NO
returns. NO refunds. Before any purchase or trading, please look closely at any scanned item
shown. Please ask questions. Price shown is for ONE item only.
From any station listed, there might be one piece available, or many. If curious about quantities, please
inquire!

PAYMENTS:
US Buyers- As form of payment, I
accept personal check, cashiers check and mailed money orders. A verified United States Postal
Money Order ships the first business day after receipt. Unless I know you, all
other payments must clear my bank. Your item is held until that time. I will not accept wired payments, due to the fact I must then drive around chasing after them. (No thanks!) Sorry, due to past problems with such services, neither electronic payments nor
any credit cards are accepted.
**********
Canadian Buyers- If other than US currency, please pay only
using a US funds money order.
**********
All other nations- I will accept the following payment methods: 1)
Verified US currency in a registered letter. 2) Either a cashiers check
or money order in US funds. PLEASE NOTE= Method #2 requires that my
bank receive actual funds from the source where you purchased the
payment, BEFORE I will ship. This can require up to (8) eight weeks!
**********
SHIPPING:
I ship using only the United States Postal Service.
********** I will NOT falsify any paperwork
for shipments outside of the United States of America.
**********
Total cost of shipping will be determined after I know what you wish to purchase!
Delivery Confirmation- As they continue to make inconvenient changes, USPS has made this option no longer available
for flat First Class Mail, USA. (Most of my shipments are flimsies in a flat envelope.) It can still be applied to Media Mail,
Parcel Post and Priority Mail shipments. For packages sent via a flat at First
Class rate, your only option is Certified Mail, which starts at $2.80,
without signature. But at least this provides a tracking number.
USA- Minimum shipping and handling
charge, is $2.00 for First Class USPS. Most train order packages seem to go in the $2.00 range for First Class USPS. Priority shipping starts at $4.99. These
amounts are for postage, and some packaging materials. With hopefully a few
pennies left over for gasoline ($$$!!!) to drive your item to our post
office. Unfortunately, foreign shipment prices will be a higher fee. Note: Unless it's a book, which can go media mail, I only use First Class or Priority. I do not
negotiate shipping costs. They are what they are- Nobody is cheap these
days! Wherever possible, I recycle clean foam peanuts or bubble wrap.
Whenever I must purchase packaging materials, that cost is passed along
to you.

Insurance
is extra. I would urge you to purchase it. Shipments are all FOB my
location- All responsibility for damage, or loss of a shipped item
passes to that carrier. During the last 13+ years, I have seen a few
packages delivered slowly. Otherwise, there's never been a problem.
Yet...
