A quick note here. For some reason, the AAR reporting mark "POVA" for this company
has been falsely assumed by many railfans as meaning 'Pend Oreille Valley Authority'.
Actually, this railroad is owned & operated by the Port of Pend Oreille.
Pronounced as "Pond Oh-ray," it is the Pend Oreille Valley Railroad.
